These customers knew they had a big project to deal with when they bought the house – and they weren’t disappointed! Fortunately, Architect Your Home was able to step up.

The house was tired and run down with small disconnected gloomy rooms. The lower ground floor kitchen was cut off from the rest of the house and there was no direct access to the garden. This needed some radical, brave thinking and that is what the architect provided. He designed a double-height glazed extension at the rear of the house that incorporated a serial staircase. This provided a much-needed connection between the lower and upper ground floor as well as allowing glorious amounts of light to flood into the lower ground floor area. As if that wasn’t enough, space is now a dramatic and exciting home.
