Project Story

When designing a home, whether from scratch or an extension the most important thing is to listen to and understand the desires of your client, as close collaboration with them is the key to the success of any project.

With this new build, the client was an actor and he wanted his new build home to have a theatrical wow factor, and working together that’s what he got.

The trouble with the site was that it was restricted by overlooking issues on three sides  – no light could be had from three of the four elevations – and on the other side was the road. It took some clever, out-of-the-box thinking to meet his requirements for a dramatic family home. Our architect’s solution was to design a new home using spectacular double-height spaces and lightweight metal walkways.

The kitchen, living, dining areas were all clearly defined separate areas but they flowed into each other to make a truly contemporary living, breathing home.
